The Gaggle of Geese is a large pub with a skittle alley, five acres of land including a wonderful orchard and paddocks where the twice yearly charity poultry auction is held. We have gone back to pub basics with the bar looking like all pubs used, that is to say someones front room where you can lounge in front of the fire on some comfy sofas. Being local farmers as well as publicans we have, as at The European, decided to concentrate on good traceable local produce where possible. With Dorset having such an abundance of wonderful produce this has proved an easy task. The Gaggle now provides proper modern pub food in old fashioned surroundings.
