A lovely traditional pub, unspoiled by modern over-development. Built in the mid 1700s, Grade II listed, however completely unpretentious. 4 cosy rooms and large beer garden atop Saxon embankments. Brakspears real ales and a good selection of lagers and ciders. Home-cooked food and a roaring log fire in the winter. Regular music sessions and pub games.
