Perfectly located right on Plymouth’s Barbican waterfront, this sprawling hostelry has something for everyone. A great place to eat and drink al fresco -- especially when one of the many yachting events is on. There is a permanent BBQ for the weekends (weather dependent) and plenty of covered and heated tables for people watching and soaking up the atmosphere. Head Chef Richard Nicholls is creating exciting and varied dishes using great local produce. The main menu is seasonal and includes pub classics as well as plenty of fish and seafood and more substantial dishes. There are specials such as fillet steak, seared tuna or scallops with black pudding. Inside there is a choice of tables downstairs and upstairs is one of the best dining rooms in town. Bright and spacious the room can seat around 70 diners with views. There is a private dining room/dinner party room for up to 30. There is also a Sunday Carvery as well as the other menus running.
