The world's biggest pub crawl is well underway in order to build the database for this site. We will be adding further counties to this site until our exhaustive research is complete. Phew, it's a tough job but somebody's got to do it!
Myself and my partner Paul foreman took over as landlords on 4/7/07. Since then we have extensively improved the pub's decor inside and out, adding a decked terrace from where one can enjoy the lakeside views and country side. Internally we have kept to the pub's traditional country side theme by adding a genuine oak flooring and renewed the decor, bar and converted the upper lounge area into a welcoming dinig area. There is comfortable leather seating around the real open fire. We have kept the pool table and encourage the traditional pub games, such as darts and dominoes. We have added a weekly popular quiz on Thursday nights and have live music nights every weekend usually Friday nights but occasioanlly Saturdays. Check out or website for current events.bWe are a community pub and actively involved in local charity events. We are child friendly, providing children (accompanied of course) with a free goody bag with their healthy choice menu or writing and colouring materials with games/colouring sheets. Our menu changes on a regular, often daily basis and the food is genuinely homemade and wherever possible, locally sourced. Phil the butcher provides the majority of our meats from his Bistre Farm shop and Lesters farm, Drury provides our local vegetables/fruit and free range eggs. We are very accommodating to special requests for the menu, wherever possible and cater for soecial diets aswell (best to ring in advance if you have something particular in mind. We also have regular open mic nites which are proving to be very popular.
We have disabled access into the pub but at present no ladies special disabled toilets. Doga are welcome outside the pub and we will provide your pooch with drinking water and when possible a bone to keep him/her happy! We have Setanta Sports!
