The pub was taken over in August 2008 by Gary and Paula Lawson. They have renovated and turned the carvery restaurant into an Italian Restaurant, which has a black and white theme, which looks very clean and modern. The restaurant is called Lawsianos. Gary is a VIP chef who has 24 years experience, and has always wanted his own restaurant. The food is freshly prepared and served by well presented waiting staff, and the food is going down a treat, The Capel Mushroom is a very popular starter, the mushrooms are from a farm in the village. The restaurant serves steaks, chicken, lamb and pork dishes as well as the pasta dishes and the very popular home made pizzas. If you would like a lovely meal with good service and a great atmosphere Lawsianos is a place to visit.
